Arthroscopic Surgery

Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique in which a small flexible tube (arthroscope) is inserted through a small incision. The arthroscope allows the required site to be viewed on a display monitor, so the surgeon can inspect, diagnose and repair joint tissue such as ligaments. This surgery is most commonly performed to treat ailments of the joints such as knees or shoulders.
