Dr Peter Penkoff

Peter is an Australian trained Urological Surgeon with public appointments at the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital and operating privately at Ashford Hospital, Burnside Hospital, Calvary Adelaide Hospital and Calvary Central Districts Hospital.

He completed his Specialist Urology Surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, rotating through all major hospitals in Adelaide, SA and also at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW. At the end of his training Peter did a Fellowship year in Urological Oncology, including Robotic surgery and Stone surgery at the Westmead Public and Private Hospitals and Blacktown Hospital, Sydney, NSW.

After completion of his Urology specialty training and being awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), Peter dedicated another year to purely train in Robotic Surgery in the UK. He gained extensive experience in Robotic surgery for the treatment of prostate, kidney and bladder cancers, but also completed a number of reconstructive robotic procedures such as pyeloplasties and ureteric reimplantations.

Peter further consolidated and expanded his knowledge with a second fellowship at one of the most prestigious robotic centres in Europe - the OLV Hospital in Belgium and ORSI Academy under the tutelage of Prof Alex Mottrie - President of EAU Robotic Section and CEO of ORSI Academy.

To date Peter has had experience with more than 500 Robotic surgical procedures and is the only urologist in Adelaide who has completed two dedicated Robotic Urology Oncology Fellowships.

His public and private practice concentrate on providing comprehensive and up-to-date care for all urological conditions.

Depending on patient circumstances he is able to offer open, laparoscopic or robotic assisted surgical treatment.
