Specialist Training
Dr Chowdhury graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours. He was awarded a PhD from UNSW for his Bionic Eye research, and was a visiting fellow at Harvard University Medical School. He trained in Ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick and Sydney Childrens Hospital, and was awarded the Filipic Greer Medal. He undertook a Fellowship in advanced cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and corneal transplantation at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School and was previously an Examiner for the College of Ophthalmologists.
