Dr Batey is passionate about providing holistic pregnancy care and helping couples to fulfil their birth preferences whenever possible.
She has particular expertise in pregnancy care for women over the age of 35 and their specific pregnancy needs. She also has a special interest in working with women who have experienced previous birth trauma and helping them have a better experience.

Dr Batey obtained her medical degree at the University of Sydney where she graduated with honours. She also received the prize in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecolology at Royal North Shore Hospital, receiving her Fellowship in 2002. She also has a Masters of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) which allows her to critically appraise research & provide the most evidence based care. She has been a VMO at North Shore Private Hospital & The Mater Hospital since 2003 & Royal North Shore Hospital from 2005
