Dr Ankur Dhar is an Australian-trained urological surgeon with a subspecialty focus in uro-oncology (urological cancer surgery) and a strong interest in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He manages the full range of
urological cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder, ureteric and testicular) alongside
kidney and ureteric stone disease, prostate conditions, and general urology. He completed his medical and urological training in New South Wales under the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), before undertaking an accredited Uro-Oncology Fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, United Kingdom. There he gained extensive experience in robotic and open surgery for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, as well as
advanced robotic reconstructive urology.
Dr Dhar believes in shared decision-making - working with each patient to choose the right treatment for them - and in offering minimally invasive options wherever appropriate. His care is compassionate, personalised and evidence-based, drawing on the latest surgical and medical advances. He is actively involved in surgical research and teaching, helping to train the next generation of urologists. A Urology Nurse Practitioner is also available for consultation and support.
