About Dr Ruchi Singh
Following undergraduate training in medicine, Dr Singh developed a keen interest in Womens Health and consequently completed graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, obtained a Masters degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in India and gained membership with the RCOG, UK. Dr Singh moved to Australia and obtained a Fellowship of RANZCOG in 2009.
During training Dr Singh noticed the preponderance of pelvic floor disorders in the population, hence pursued this area of specialization by joining the formal subspecialty training program in uro-gynaecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery at the Royal Womens Hospital.
Dr Singh is a consultant in the Pelvic floor unit at the Royal Womens Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. She practices Obstetrics in the public system and is involved in training of young doctors and academic research.
Dr Singh enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams and also has given lectures in the University of Melbourne and conducted workshops for medical graduates/post graduates and physyiotherapists. She has presented at national & international conferences and recently won a best oral presentation award. She was also received the 2014 RANZCCOG scholarship for research.
Dr Singh has her Practice at Knox Private hospital, Wantirna; Frances Perry House, Parkville and St John of God, Berwick, caring for women with pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, urinary incontinence as well as general gynaecological disorders.
Dr Singh has a young family of her own and spends every spare moment with her two boys and husband. She is fluent in English, Hindi & Gujarati
