Immunotherapy is commonly prescribed in either subcutaneous (injection immunotherapy) & sublingual (tablets or drops) forms.
Assessment of food allergy & anaphylaxis is carefully undertaken. New patients are encouraged to record specific exposures (including ingredient lists) in the context previous allergic reactions. Therefore, focussed allergy testing can be performed & the potential culprit identified quickly
