He obtained his medical degree from the university of Tasmania, and subsequently completed his specialist training in anaesthesia and interventional pain medicine in QLD at Townsville University Hospital.
He is a Fellow with the Australian and new Zealand college of Anaesthetists(FANZCA), and with the Faculty of pain medicine Australia and New Zealand (FFPMANZCA). He has additional fellowship with the world institute of pain, interventional pain practice (FIPP).
