How it works
Our specialist team reviews each referral and offers patients the next available appointment by email with the right specialist for their care. Once a patient accepts an appointment, and payment is collected, the video consultation takes place in the secure, custom-built DOCTO telehealth portal. All that is needed is an internet connected device with a camera. No downloads or plugins required. If needed, our specialists will provide pathology and radiology referrals and send e-prescriptions by SMS or to a nominated pharmacy after the consult. DOCTO will provide a receipt following each consult to enable patients to claim a Medicare rebate.

Fees
The cost of a specialist video consultation with DOCTO is subsidised by Medicare with out-of-pocket expenses around $50-$175 for Medicare eligible patients. If you are not eligible for Medicare, the costs range from $299-$399. The cost depends on the specialist and the duration of the consultation. DOCTO will provide a quote before a consult.
