Dr Manzie is an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon with subspeciality training in Head & Neck (ablation & reconstructive) surgery. This additional training enables him to manage patients with malignant or benign lesions of the neck, skin, mouth, jaw or salivary glands. In addition to the removal of lesions, Dr. Manzie performs free flap reconstruction of the head & neck region (for managing defects of the skin, jaws & oral cavity. Outside of his subspecialty interest, he practices the full-scope of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery (including impacted or supernumerary teeth, dental implants, facial trauma, orthognathic/obstructive sleep apnoea surgery)

Head and neck oncology (skin, salivary gland, oral cavity, undifferentiated neck lumps), head & neck reconstructive surgery (including the reconstruction of the jaws, mouth, skin), Dental Extractions & Implant Surgery, Bone Grafting, Facial Trauma, Orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery)

MBBS, BOH (DSc.), Grad.Dip.Dent., FRACDS (OMFS)

Specialist Training
As a qualified Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Manzie has completed both dental & medical degrees. He completed surgical training in Western Australia. He was awarded the Robert M Cook medal for the highest mark in the final (Fellowship) examination. He has completed two additional years of subspecialty training in managing benign & malignant lesions of the head & neck. He has a strong passion for education, with ongoing roles on the Education committee & coordinating weekly teaching for trainees across Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Manzie represents the Oceania region on the NextGen committee for the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons

Current Positions
Dr. Manzie is a member of the Head & Neck Surgery department at Chris OBrien Lifehouse Hospital, attending the weekly MDT. He is the clinical lead for the Integrated Prosthetics & Reconstructive team & Dentofacial clinic
