Born and bred in New Zealand, Miranda moved to Australia in 1997. She began her studies in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Monash Medical Centre & in 2002 she was awarded the gold medal for the highest mark in her specialist examinations.
She completed her training in England & returned to take up a busy public position at the Mercy Hospital for Women & Austin Family Planning Clinic where she stayed for over 14 years including running the emergency department & helping teach the next generation of doctors, midwives & obstetricians. She now works solely in private practice
