Dr Vipul Aggarwal is an Interventional Gastroenterologist specialising in all forms of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
He undertook his general gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy training in Sydney (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St George Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital). He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in 2010.
Vipul subsequently secured a prestigious Fellowship in Advanced Interventional Endoscopy at Wake Forest Baptist University Hospital in North Carolina, USA where he also worked as a consultant gastroenterologist.
In 2013 Vipul relocated to Canberra to set up and expand the interventional endoscopy services in the ACT region. He joined the Canberra Hospital and started practice with Professor Mark Bassett at Canberra Gastroenterology.
In February 2016, Vipul became the Director of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit at Canberra Hospital. Vipul practices all aspects of Gastroenterology, and his special interests include prevention, early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreato-biliary cancers.
Vipul consults at Deakin and Bruce. He performs the following endoscopic procedures at Brindabella Endoscopy Centre, Calvary Private Hospital, ACT Endoscopy and at National Capital Private Hospital:
