about Dr Shahrir Kabir

Dr Shahrir Kabir is a specialist colorectal surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive management of colorectal conditions.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales with Honours, he trained in General Surgery at Royal North Shore and St Vincents Hospitals in Sydney. He completed further training in Colorectal Surgery at Westmead and Royal Brisbane Hospitals as part of the highly recognised Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand training program.

Dr Kabir has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic management of colorectal cancer, pelvic floor disorders and inflammatory bowel disease

He is a full member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
