about A/Prof Austin Ng

A/Prof. Ng is a Senior Staff Specialist and the Director of Population Health at Concord Hospital, and a Visiting Medical Officer at Canterbury Hospital. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney, and his main research interest is in exploring epidemiology and health economic cost burden of cardiovascular diseases, venous thromboembolism and pulmonary embolism, and improving patient outcomes through development of better risk stratification models. He holds a strong passion for teaching and is the current Chief Co-ordinator of the Cardiovascular Integrated Clinical Attachment of Concord Hospital Clinical School. He has served as primary supervisors for MD, Masters and PhD candidates. As a busy multilingual physician, he sees great opportunities to improve the care and wellbeing of his patients, and seeks to bridge the gap in patients understanding of their own health and the current advancement in medical preventative and therapeutic care.
