A/Prof Scott Ferris has extensive experience across the breadth of reconstructive plastic surgery. The microsurgical aspects of plastic surgery feature heavily in his practise. This includes managing brachial plexus injury, tumours and compression as well as surgery for facial nerve palsy and foot drop. He is a leader in neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome management. Additionally he undertakes management of other complex peripheral nerve pathology and injury, extensive and advanced skin cancer surgery and elective and traumatic hand and lower limb surgery. He is well published in the surgical literature and frequently presents nationally and internationally in his areas of interest. He is the head of the Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit in East Melbourne, and Deputy Director of Plastic Surgery at The Alfred Hospital
