
about Dr Sharanjit Sidhu
Dr Sharan Sidhu is a consultant general paediatrician with over 12 years experience in the care of newborns, infants and children.
She completed her medical at University of New South Wales, Sydney and trained at both the Childrens Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick across both metropolitan and rural/regional settings.
Although it was her husbands training that initially brought her to Canberra, it allowed her to complete her fellowship here at the Canberra Hospital in 2021 and fall in love with the city.
Sharan has experience in an array of chronic and complex paediatric specialities including developmental and behavioural concerns, paediatric neurology, respiratory and endocrinology. Dr Sidhu works locally at the Canberra Hospital Paediatric Department and has well established links with subspecialists within the area as well as the Sydney Childrens Hospitals Network. She enjoys all aspects of general paediatrics and will see children from birth through adolescence.
Dr Sidhu enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors and currently hold conjoint clinical lecturer appointment at The Australian National University. Sharan is married to a fellow physician and when not at work enjoys being a mother to a rambunctious toddler.
