About Dr Andrea Zalan

Dr Andrea Zalan is a Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrician who also trained in Child Psychiatry. She graduated from The Flinders University of South Australia in 1989 and completed her Paediatric training in 2000 at The Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. Subsequently she worked at the Sydney Childrens Hospital and trained at The NSW Institute of Psychiatry gaining the Certificate of Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry in 2002. She has also worked as a Staff Specialist at The Childrens Hospital at Westmead and was involved in Medical Education through The University of Sydney.

Dr Andrea Zalan employs her broad skills when assessing and managing children with developmental or behavioral issues using a child and family centred, solution focused approach. She offers comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents and advises families regarding treatment options, behavioural strategies and/or medications as required. Her goal is to optimize her patients development and full potential.
