about Dr Nicholas Frost
Dr Frost is an adult and paediatric hip and knee surgeon with, a special interest in hip preservation surgery, including periacetabular osteotomy for younger adults. His practice offers comprehensive outcome based care to patients of all ages.
The location of his practice in the Hollywood Orthopaedic Group allows easy access to imaging and allied health services. Dr Frost is available for urgent over the phone advice and has developed streamlined protocols to workup patients prior to their initial consultation, thereby providing the most effective management of each patient without the need for multiple visits. His Secretary is happy to facilitate urgent appointments plus single day visits and follow-up teleconferences for rural patients, limiting the need for travel.
Dr Frost undertook his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery in Perth. He went on to spend six months of his specialist training working in charity hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.
Upon completion of his training he undertook a Fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery and periacetabular osteotomy (hip preservation surgery) under Dr Michael Solomon (Sydney Orthopaedic Specialists) at Prince of Wales Hospitals, Sydney NSW.
He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics with Professor David Little at The Childrens Hospital at Westmead, Sydney NSW, where he deepened his experience and training in nonarthroplasty techniques for treatment of complex adolescent hip disorders. Following completion of his Fellowships, Dr Frost returned to Perth to join the team at Hollywood Orthopaedic Group.
