Dr Clark provides comprehensive adult spinal assessment & surgical management, including treatment of cervical radiculopathy, cervical & thoracic myelopathy, craniocervical instability, lumbar radiculopathy/sciatica, lumbar spinal stenosis, degenerative spinal deformity, intradural conditions including tumours, cysts & vascular lesions, metastatic spinal tumours, and spinal trauma & fractures. Where appropriate, he uses advanced surgical technologies including neuronavigation & robotics.

He also provides clinical second opinions, independent medical examinations, permanent impairment assessments & medicolegal reports relating to spinal and neurological conditions.

Dr Clark graduated in Medicine from the University of Sheffield in 1998 and completed higher neurosurgical training in the UK, gaining Specialty Board recognition in Neurosurgery in 2009.

He holds a PhD in neuroinflammation & cerebral ischaemia and completed a spinal fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2011.

His credentials include FRACS (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) & FRCS(Ed) (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh).

He previously served as Clinical Lead for Spinal Surgery at The Walton Centre for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Regional Chair of the NHS England Northwest Network Board for complex spine.

Referral Info

GP & specialist referrals are welcome and can be submitted through Dr Clarks online referral form or by email.

Referrals should include the patients presenting signs & symptoms, treatments already tried, details of where imaging was performed and, where available, the radiology report.

Patient name, date of birth, contact information & private health insurance status are also requested.

A referral is recommended for Medicare & insurance purposes; however, direct patient enquiries are also accepted.

Dr Clark reviews privately insured, self-funded, WorkCover, motor vehicle accident, medicolegal & second-opinion cases.
