Dr Matvinder Singh (Mat for short), consulting at Western Specialist Centre, Werribee performs both diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy, along with capsule endoscopy. Mat is a Melbourne-based, internationally trained Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with more than 20 years of experience. He is a GESA-certified endoscopist in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy. Mat has deep experience managing complex gastroenterology and hepatology cases, with a particular interest in IBD and Liver diseases including Fatty liver disease, Iron deficiency, Refractory Helicobacter Pylori infection treatment, and Liver cirrhosis.

He performs a wide range of therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including variceal banding, endoscopic dilatations, argon plasma coagulation, bipolar thermal therapy, and polypectomies including EMR of large polyps.
Mat combines evidence-based medicine with clinical experience to deliver individualised management plans, and is a strong believer in patient education, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care in a relaxed, friendly manner.
