about Dr Antony Lau

Dr Lau is a Senior Staff Specialist and Interventional Cardiologist at Prince of Wales Hospital, Director of Cardiac Cath Labs at Northern Beaches Hospital, a FRACP examiner, and Conjoint Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at University of NSW. He obtained his medical degree with honours from University of Sydney, and completed his training in Royal North Shore Hospital, Concord Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Prince of Wales Hospital. His clinical interests include hyperlipidaemia, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary and valvular heart disease. His is an expert in performing complex coronary stenting and interventions. He was previously a NH&MRC Postgraduate Research Scholar during his PhD, and has received many grants with publications in major journals. He has supervised many research students, and his research interests include detection and management of early coronary disease, and invasive coronary imaging. He speaks fluent cantonese and basic mandarin.
