Dr Mark Muhlmann

Dr Mark Muhlmann is an Australian educated and trained Colorectal and General Surgeon.
Dr Mark Muhlmann obtained his medical degree at the University of Western Australia and completed general surgical training in Perth. He was selected for the Colorectal Speciality training program with Fellowships undertaken in Auckland and in Sydney at the Prince of Wales Hospitals, under the auspices of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has a special interest in laparoscopic colorectal surgery for cancer and benign colorectal disorders, pelvic floor disorders including faecal incontinence and obstructed defaecation, and the surgery of inflammatory bowel disease. He has undertaken specialist surgical Outreach work in East Timor. Dr Muhlmann is a Visiting Medical Officer in colorectal surgery in the department of general surgery at Prince of Wales Public Hospital and at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. He is credentialled at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital.

Specialising in colorectal surgery, general surgery, hernia surgery, laparoscopic surgery, gallbladder surgery, colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Dr Muhlmanns focus is on minimally invasive surgery including both robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) colorectal surgery for cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (crohns disease, ulcerative colitis) and diverticular disease. He also has experience in pelvic floor disorders including faecal incontinence and constipation.
